"Deepak Sugathan is a Music Producer, Mixing & Mastering Engineer based out of Mumbai, India.
Having origins from the south of India (Kerala), born in Central India, Sagar (M.P.) where he completed his schooling
and studied his Bachelor's (Computer Science) in Bhopal.
Later his passion in music and sound took him to cities like Chennai And Mumbai, he surely is a person who has seen and experienced different parts of the country and adapted to their surroundings. His musical journey began in Sagar & Bhopal through to Chennai and continues in Mumbai. He completed his Audio Engineering Diploma from School Of Audio Engineering (SAE), Chennai - Affiliated to Byron Bay Australia, followed by becoming an Apple Certified Pro & Apple Certified Trainer in 2010.
Sound has been his greatest inspiration since the beginning of his career. Its varied dimensions and continued advancements motivated him to stay updated, create & be part of unique musical projects.
With over 14 years of Industry experience, Deepak has worked on numerous independent projects as a Music Composer, Music Producer, Music Production Supervisor, Executive Music Producer, Session artist, Mixing And Mastering Engineer. During this period, he has contributed majorly to the education Industry working as a Full Time Lecturer/ Faculty at SAE (now AAT) (2009), Audio Media Education Pvt. Ltd 2009 - 2013 and AR Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory, Chennai (2013-2017) and Online Teaching Platform "" FrontRow"" 2020-21.
Never shying away from the variety in his creations, he has mixed sound for Hiphop Tamizha, KBC, The Casteless Collective Album, South Indian films, Gujarati Film, Bollywood Mainstream films, webseries and various independent artists across the country.
""SoundLab Project"" & album “Indie 100 - India 2016” are two of his international collaborated projects wherein he worked with music producers from Germany, Australia along with Indian musicians - which have enabled him to understand and apply international sounds to new creative bounds.
The productions he undertook includes producing music for several ad-jingles including Daikin, UberEats Chennai, Gulf, Chennai Super Kings, Transition Insight, Maiam App for Padma Shree Kamal Hassan and for award winning short film like “Me myself and my clone” and a Web Series called “Weekend Machhan” Produced under Goutham Vasudev Menon’s Ondraga Entertainment, Additional Music Programming/Guitars for Telugu Movie “Meeku Matrame Chepta” (Vijay Deverakonda Production), Composed & Produced song for Singing Competition “The Next”.
Along with the above productions, he realizes his passion for music through his Electro Fusion band called “InDoor gharana” where he plays guitars, co-produces, sings and performs.
In Mumbai, Deepak has worked as music supervisor, executive music producer, mixing and mastering engineer in several short films, web series and Bollywood films. Some of which include Lionsgate’s Original Web Series “Jugaadistan”, Zoom Studio’s “Happily Ever After”, Vikalp starring Neha Sharma, Gujarati Film - “Kem Chho?”, Bollywood Films - “Urf Ghanta” & “Good Luck Jerry” starring Jhanvi Kapoor.
With considerable diversity in his works, industry experience & constant urge to quest for interesting sounds while preserving the aesthetics of certain music forms makes Deepak quite unique in his production approach & evidently makes him a strong contributor in the music, film & education space."
