Film maker Luv Ranjan first made headlines soon after the release of his directorial debut film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ which attained a cult status. He received accolades galore for his creation of youthful characters who spoke the language of today. He went on to direct ‘Akaash Vani’ and ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’, and co-founded Luv Films with his childhood friend Ankur Garg, to produce and distribute Bollywood films.
With his strong penchant for comedy, Ranjan directed and produced ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ and once again audience saw the magic of his witty writing. He followed this humungous success with ‘De De Pyaar De’ which was written by Ranjan and produced under his banner. Soon after the company produced ‘Jai Mummy Di’ and ‘Malang’ and in a short span of time, the company has grown by leaps and bounds.
The multifaceted director-writer-producer is synonymous with cinema that not only caters to youngsters, but also resonates with the family audience. He uses flamboyant themes and witty writing, yet his uniqueness lies in the ability to make his characters as real as life itself, thus striking an immediate connect with audience of all age groups. Being a writer himself, Luv takes keen interest in creative development of films.
