With over 12 years across the entire gamut of Sales and Marketing in the FMCG industry, Saugato brings unmatched brands and shopper expertise to his role as the Head of the Consumer Products business of Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd. His efforts have resulted in the expansion of the organization's ability to extend and monetize its several brand properties through sustainable, profitable and consumer-centric merchandise partnerships. Recently Saugato was appointed as Head of the Integrated Network Solutions (INS) Business Unit which is instrumental in developing brand solutions for consumers and live properties across music and entertainment genres.

Starting his career at Dabur India and then following it up with HUL in a Sales Leadership & Customer Development role for Unilever's Home and Personal Care business, he subsequently led two of the largest Fabric Cleaning brands of HUL, Wheel and Rin Advanced. Post this assignment; he led global product innovation and Equity Development across Fabric Cleaning and Oral Care categories both in India and Singapore. In his most recent assignment as the Global Channel Director for Traditional Trade Channels, he led the creation of shopper & customer strategy for the Traditional Trade business across all leading markets of Unilever.

Saugato grew up and was schooled in Delhi at Don Bosco School. He graduated in Economics from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University and completed his MBA with a specialization in Marketing from IMT, Ghaziabad in 2002.

A complete extrovert, Saugato's greatest passion is travel, followed by the experiences that come with it — music, reading and food. In fact, he wishes to visit and experience most countries across all the continents. Next on his wish list is also a solo sky diver certification.
