Tanish Thakker is the founder and CEO of Amplify Music Incubator (AMI). AMI - an artist development program that empowers musicians by providing them with essential resources, knowledge, networking opportunities, and a supportive community. It was established in 2020 and has been a game-changer in the Indian music scene. Tanish's passion for shaping music culture & developing an ecosystem for Indie music to thrive in India is why he set up this program.

The aim of AMI is to invest in capacity development initiatives in the country so that all stakeholders from the indie space can have a supportive system to grow and thrive in.

Since 2020, AMI has enabled 75 music projects and changed the lens through which artist’s view & navigate the music industry. Moreover, the program has successfully engaged more than 120 industry professionals, conducted over 200 workshops, hosted two artists' residencies, and organized three artist showcases. They have worked with artists such as Easy Wanderlings, TribeMama MaryKali, Ranj x Cliffr, Bawri Basanti, Tanmaya Bhatnagar, Irfana, Till Apes and many more.

Tanish has lived & worked across India, USA & UK over the last 16 years and his experience ranges across different domains of skills development, startup incubation and music management.

In addition to the above, Tanish is also the co-founder of Jazz Weekender a jazz music IP which was started in collaboration with WildCity, BoxOut Fm, Gatecrash & Thot. In addition to that he is also the curator of Jazz in India a community platform that promotes jazz in the country and the director at Gatecrash which is an international tour management agency started by Emmanuelle De Decker.
