CEO & Co-founder,
Manzil Mystics is a Delhi based band and music non-profit. We spread the all-embracing messages of Kabir Das and Mahatma Gandhi through the songs that we write, compose, and perform as a band. As a nonprofit, we are focused on using music as a tool to help people from low-income families to empower themselves and their communities. Education, Gender, and Livelihood are the three main domains we have been relentlessly working in since the last 7 years. We teach children from government schools to sing, write, compose, and perform songs. Along with making them more confident and musically skilled, it enhances their cognitive and socio emotional skills, makes them more empathetic and increases their interest in learning. We create happy and inclusive spaces for children and young adults to express themselves freely as well as learn about topics like gender, menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, textbooks, languages, and different social issues, all through music. At Manzil Mystics, we do this all through a unique music-based Fellowship specially designed for musicians come from low-income families. Through our work, we are trying to increase accessibility, usability, and sustainability of music in India.
